coastal park redevelopment
tainan - taiwan, competition

The coastal park of Tainan still suffers from the post-modern style it was designed and built with. Indeed, the preference for iconic shapes, rather than accessible spaces, made the environment unattractive and finally deserted by the public use. In the light of this, the project suggested blurring the boundaries of the facilities in the park by the addition of extensive balconies and eaves that would provide additional spaces at the border between indoor and outdoor areas, as well as restructure the overall image of the park.
